During an extensive home renovation, Nelson Thomas was engaged to deliver a bespoke landscape design that enhances both the natural surroundings and the architectural vision. The brief focused on creating a functional, sustainable garden that responds to the site’s unique sun and shade conditions while preserving the integrity of the existing landscape.
A key priority was to soften the home’s arrival experience and retain as many mature trees as possible. By working thoughtfully with established Eucalyptus trees and native Australian plant species, the design embraces the character of the local environment and strengthens the connection to the surrounding bushland.
The result is a series of meandering garden pathways, layered planting zones, and seasonal landscaping features that provide year-round visual interest. Carefully curated native gardens deliver texture, colour, and biodiversity, while also ensuring low-maintenance, climate-responsive performance.
