Working alongside Jorge Hrdina Architects has been an inspiring experience. Their vision for the property emphasizes a seamless connection between the built environment and its natural surroundings. As the build and interiors near completion, the gardens are stepping into their own, serving as the perfect complement to this remarkable home.

Embracing existing beauty
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been the opportunity to work with the property’s incredible existing flora. Majestic, gnarly Banksia’s and towering Tree Ferns provide a sense of history and character that cannot be replicated. Preserving and enhancing these natural elements has been a guiding principle in our design approach.

A garden with a view
The property’s gardens are further elevated by panoramic views overlooking Sailors Bay. These sweeping vistas serve as both a backdrop and a focal point, influencing the placement and selection of plants to ensure the landscape enhances, rather than competing.

Design highlights
Respecting the site: The existing Banksias and Tree Ferns have been carefully integrated into the new landscape design, creating a sense of continuity and honoring the site’s natural heritage.

Layered planting: A thoughtful mix of native and complementary species has been used to create depth, texture, and seasonal interest.

Coastal resilience: Given the proximity to Sailors Bay, the garden design incorporates hardy, drought-tolerant plants that thrive in the local climate while maintaining a lush, inviting aesthetic.
